This is addition to the 600 rooms already going to The Row. It is now learned that the Skyline Hotel on 10th Avenue took in 200 immigrants.

23. Those poor American children who will be taken from to educate the immigrant children. My heart goes out to both the immigrant children and the American children, but we cannot sustain this. It seems as always the officials are blissfully unaware there is already a teacher shortage, and now they want bilingual teachers? hahaha Pretty sure all the bilingual teachers who are qualified to teacher already have jobs.

    A hearty and welcoming handshake when you get off the bus, the free cab rides, the free hotel rooms, expedited enrollment in schools, paying for bilingual teachers.
    How hospitable NYC taxpayers really are, willingly giving their tax money over to strangers, in a crumbling city.

34. This will affect the education of the other kids. They bused the Spanish speaking kids from the east side of town & the teacher would spend the first 2 hours with these kids, no teacher aid. My son’s education suffered. We moved to a clean run republican city with no bilingual program & my son is a top student. Take your kids out of those schools.
