A cop friend of is a retired detective from a college town who once made the comment, "women aged 16 to 21 make the perfect crime victims". I thought he was harsh in his assessment but he explained, "Because most of them think they are so worldly but in reality are clueless to the ways of the world. They are overly trusting and naive, especially when it comes to men." He also mentioned how clueless they are of their surroundings. The last major case he worked was two different coeds who were raped by a local when they walked home alone form a bar. When the suspect was located and interviewed, my friend asked why he chose those two women to assault. He said, "Because they were walking along, looking at their phones, not paying attention." There you have it.

The optics of the situation is that there are two VASTLY different cultures (& underscoring one is not “better” than another, btw).
