The Colorado shooter was brought to the U.S. as a small child. The claims that he is a foreigner are ludicrous.For all practical purposes he is an American. He was brought to America as a small child, grew up in America, and this is the own country he has ever known. It is also hypocritical to think that a Muslim could not suffer mental illness, and is automatically labeled a terrorist. What about the Georgia shooter, etc. Do they gat a free pass because their names are not Mohammed or Alissa?

Our God tells us to “fight the unbelievers” and “He will punish them by our hands, cover them with shame and help us (to victory) over them” (9:14). The Qur’an takes away the freedom of belief from all humanity and relegates those who disbelieve in Islam to hell (5:10), calls them najis (filthy, untouchable, impure) (9:28), and orders its followers to fight the unbelievers until no other religion except Islam is left (2:193).

The answer is more citizens with guns. No one, except a suicidal, would walk into a store and try to shot five people if the suicidal knew that 98 percent of American citizens carry hand guns.
The shooters know people shy away from gun familiarization and know most people in the store are not carrying.
Gun safety, familiarization and qualify to carry should not be specific to Law Enforcement, protection services and Military. Gun safety in schools at every grade level and Qualify to carry should be standard education for a free country. That is the biggest mistake to assume only certain groups should be trained and educated in Gun safety.
The gun license should be the way you get a driver's license but, with way more exposure over time into all grade levels with gun knowledge, safety and operation. Yes, tax payers should fund Gun Safety in all schools. Gun safety education and training should be put in the Constitution. Gun free zones get innocent people killed.
