Wow it is amazing to see all this negative propaganda against the DR…It is truth that the death of this great woman was a crime..But this is something that happens all over the world unfortunately….What about al the teachers and innocent students that have been killed in the last year in American soil???..Or the mall, Movie theaters and even concerts shootings that have taken place in this great nation..Do you guys really think that is reason to be afraid and lock ourselves inside our houses like a walking dead episode???…I seriously think that thinking like that and letting the media scare us it is very naive way of living..I suggest that before you cancel a plan of vacationing and having a great time…Do a research..Don’t go only for what the news or media says..Go to real stats..and make a realistic comparison…If you see in reality that the place you are traveling to it ia not safe just find another one safer and go…..One thing i can guarantee you…The DR it is not only a beautiful place to visit…It is one of the safest place u can go in the world today..See statistics the are very easy to find on the internet..Compare DR with other places including the USA and you will see how right i am about this

14. As a Dominican American, I would advise not to go there. Someone I knew was killed in this exact same manner a few years back. Just don't right now. The drug problem has engulfed the country. Sad…

Because there was no forced entry means that an employee is involved who had a pass key or someone was waiting near the door and forced her in..In spite of the fact that there is a lot of big money involved in the Domonican republic thay gets majpr considerations something is going on there as people don't kill themselves while being tied up. I believe that the theft was incidental and afterward from the murder,there also is the fact that this could be the work of more than one individual that are working together. In ny event it will be shoveled under therug as long as people vacation there..I would avoid this location completely as it constitutes a present danger . There are lots of other safer places to go and this location is surely not unique.

18. From what I’ve heard so far, this amazing woman was even more beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. I pray they find out who did this fast. My thoughts go out to her family, and loved ones. The world lost a hero.

19. Why are you all victim blaming? She was a humanitarian who was a Montessori teacher who was beloved in the small town and made a huge impact on the people there. Don’t blame her for going there, she had a passion for helping people.
