14. I mean. Let’s look at PA + GA + other states that have laws in place that make them not able to process/count mail in votes until day of election when polls open /close . Out of all the laws enacted to improve confidence in elections not a single state has addressed it . How is that a partisan issue ?
    And rob Portman basically says each state should have right to throw out votes (technically non partisan) if vote is cast at wrong place . That’s just a silly thing to want to have control over . It’s a perfect example of why you need some federal oversight … otherwise I don’t understand the point of federal government.
    Oh and voter ID bring in on .. I think it’d just a horrible argument … just make it uniform rules across all 50-states so everyone can be educated on what is acceptable alternatives.

If so many states weren't trying to make voting harder while placing the process under partisan control and making it easier to throw out votes based on the rumor of voting fraud – no proof necessary, basic federal voting guidelines wouldn't be necessary. As it is, Republican controlled states have passed legislation that allows them to basically rig elections – perfectly legally based on their new laws – and overturn results that they don't like. That seems entirely undemocratic to me and kind of screams for basic federal guidelines necessary just to keep all elections nonpartisan.

It is what inevitably happens when the government pays people not to work which is what the extension of federal unemployment benefits until September has done! If you pay people not to work, productivity declines and that results in supply shortages and drives up prices. Today we have 9.3 million people unemployed and there are10.7 million jobs available. You don’t need an economics degree from the Ivy League to figure out what is happening. In elementary school, I learned that “too many dollars chasing too few goods is inflation”.

    ● Our National Debt is rapidly approaching $30 trillion dollars. Right now interest rates are near zero. But what happens when interest rates increase to two or three percent? The interest payments on our debt will reach almost $1.0 trillion or 25% of total tax revenues our government collects!
