That's what people making Confederate statues were doing , recording History . Hitler burned books and tore down statues as well , to rewrite the narrative to fit his agenda . BLM is fascist . The Confederacy was created to persevere the States Right to issue currency . Since they lost , there is now a $ 26,000,000,000 debt . They sought to prevent that and preserve the idea of small , manageable , Independent Republics. Originally each State was in fact an independent Nation-State , and did not have to be in debt to European Banks , they printed their own money . England said you can't do that , passed two separate Currency acts in 1764 and 1765 and forced them into perpetual debt , causing the Revolution of 1776 . The Civil War took place immediately after the Congress who had denied the Bank a renewal of it's Charter gave the First Bank of America a SECOND charter , causing the War , just as the Currency Acts caused the Revolution of 1776 . Slavery , of course unjust and immoral , was a secondary issue . Slaves were enslaved by Black West African tribes , who enslaved their own people and sold them to Europeans for guns . The English and Dutch only TRANSPORTED the slaves to North America and to Arabs , Moors and others in the Middle East . The West Africans had been enslaving each other for thousands of years . The view the Civil War was about Slavery is for simpletons . Next they will want to tear down the Pyramids because they were built with slave labor .
