  3. Eisenhower got us into Vietnam, what an awful President!!! He had so many young men killed in Vietnam!!! His decision to help South Vietnam out was a colossal mistake and cost hundreds of thousands of young American Men their lives. So sad that it seems like every loves this idiot!!!! American Icon my ass!!!! His administration forged the Southeast Asia Treaty Organization (SEATO) committing the United States to protect a South Vietnam that was not even suppose to exist.

  14. My lifetime has seen three presidential heroes. They are,… Dwight D. Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, and now,… President Donald J. Trump. It seems that whenever it looks like we are on the road to failure as a country, we are sent just the right people.

  16. Why Eisenhower? "He was really POPULAR!!!" ugh. Supreme Allied Commander in WW2, initiated the Interstate Highway System one of the greatest engineering feats in history, and had the guts to warn about the military industrialized complex on his way out. Like ALL presidents, you can find something you don't like. I'm actually REALLY surprised they didn't mention Operation Wetback. But memorials aren't really about celebrating what people did wrong during their lives, are they?

Eisenhower helped the allies win the greatest war in human history and afterwards made a lot of positive contributions to American society, a very few of which you mention in this video. He more then deserves that monument! If it weren't for his efforts you might not have the freedom to report the negative way you do today.
