  1. Griner has disrespected this country for some time now.
Knowingly broke the laws of a foreign land
The epitome of the "self entitled" and self centered
everything is all about ME…… Me Me Me Me…Me

  2. So let me get this straight, you refuse to be on the Basketball Court during the National Anthem, then you go even further and say that it shouldn't be played before any Games during the season. Which in turn your spitting in the face of every Vet and active service American that lived and died for the Flag that song represents. Then you stupidly try to carry illegal Drugs into a Foreign Country, get caught and locked up. Then you want the Country that you apparently have absolutely no respect for to come to your rescue? Well I hope you enjoy your time in a Siberian Work Camp! lol.

  3. I know nothing about this person, I don't like basketball, I don't watch basketball, BUT, you got what you deserved. I hate drugs, I've never done drugs, I don't even know why people need drugs. BUT, you got what you deserved. Several comments say you should grow up, well, you sure will after this experience. Basketball, me no like.

  4. Yes she was in a different country i get that. But lets get down to brass tacks. So, she carried a bit of personal mary jane. She isn't stealing or assaulting or murdering. She enjoys a few tokes like many people, and i guarantee most of the world will legalise it by the time she gets out.
Its a harsh sentence for a bit of weed.

  5. Brittney Griner is suffering the consequences of her own actions; some countries still enforced their laws, she should not have combined basketball with drug smuggling.

  6. Here we can all learn. Transporting drugs into a country. If you don't want jail time. Don't be a DRUG MULE! BTW No trading for drug mules.

  7. Leave her there. She is finally free of America and all the racism, police brutality, and anti gays. Give her wife a free ticket to be with her in the communist utopia of their dreams.

  8. What do you mean “Illegally” detained?!?…she got busted fair and square…so I suppose all the foreign meth and coke smugglers caught at American airports are not going to be detained anymore…right?!?…what’s that???…ohhhh your flying them at night to different cities to dilute the concentration the problem versus arresting them …I get it now…

  9. She is a national martyr. Don’t other countries know their laws don’t apply to US citizens especially sports heroes. Heck she accomplished more than Michael Jordan. Truth!

  10. I guess we should just arrest Russain Olympic Athletes for Steroids and performance enhancers from now on and give them 20 years in Prison. Then Say you know what Russai we won't release them unless you release the world's most dangerous arms dealer that helped terrorists and isis russain merceneries massacre thousands of people.
