Its not over..8 months still no help replacing 50 foot of public road 20 foot wide and 10 feet deep..Weve had to forfiet trash pickup for 8 months and everyone in chipley has been contacted..the guy running the road scraper is ignoring it and cutting deep into the road beside it to cause it to drain and washout more. Im about to call Mr Young and shake this road crews nametags loose. Weve had enough of this rediculous manor they are conducting public well being. The police did thier job rescue workers checked to see if we were alive the fire department sent some MREs but the road crew left us completely stranded. And is holding us up on getting other big machines back here to help the situation.
What makes this so horrifying is the fact that Michael wasn't a Cape Verde hurricane. It didn't have lots of time to drvelop over the ocean like Florence or Irma or Maria. Michael started out as little more than a rogue band of storms in the Gulf. And so quickly this storm intensified. It was a Cat 5 in what, two days?

Florida had now been hit be 3 Category 5 Hurricane the 1935 Labor Day hurricane and Hurricane Andrew 4 overall with Hurricane Camille hitting the Mississippi gulf coast in 1969
