I was fortunate enough to see him live with my mom at a casino where we live in Michigan. Earlier in the day The Wolverines had beaten his beloved Notre Dame Fighting Irish. So when he took the stage, he said “I almost didn’t show up tonight since The Wolverines beat my beloved Notre Dame. I better not hear anyone say Go Blue.” We all got a laugh. And at one point, he came down into the audience and I shook his hand. I almost freaked out. May he Rest In Peace.
