If the Lisa Murkowskis’ and Susan Collins’ weren’t such hypocrites and truly stood up for their fellow womens’ rights instead of just showboating and talking about it, they would vote no on this nomination.
This is just a big show for them, they are playing the same game they always play and then they vote in the best interests of their party and not in the best interests of their constituency.

The real story should be "Why would Democrats say they were going to vote NO before the nominee was even named ?" Thats what makes me think this whole thing is a sham and nothing but a smear campaign on an honest, qualified man and his family.

Senator Murkowski should not be prejudging matters like this. She has no idea if the accuser has been a victim at some point in her life. That is complete speculation, and really not helpful. If she mobilizes that prejudice, more akin to a left wing radical feminist perspective, and causes Judge Kavanaugh not to be appointed as a result, then Republicans around the Country, men and women, will not forget that betrayal.
No different that Dem believing her allegation before even hearing any testimony. They have made up their minds already! So, It's all politics as usual!
