I have an idea I’d like to share, to help get the economy going again, I hate to say it, but Bernie Sanders is right in this situation. , 1, 200 is not enough to get people over the hump, BUT I also understand that 2 grand a month for every citizen will pretty much deplete the federal reserve.
I do think the money needs to be put in American citizens hands in order to get the economy going again, and the thing is, the money will replenish as it gets circulated and re circulated..
If you approve a bill, for reoccurring stimulus money to the American people, the money will start flowing and circulating, and slowly will rebuild: also, what you could do, is make it a loan, by means of, yes, we get the 2 grand a month for the next 6 to 12 months, and what you can do, once the economy is re-established and unemployment is back down to where it was before covid-19. You can then put in a bill to raise taxes JUST by 2 percent, and the money can be gradually slowly paid back in that direction as well without causing severe financial strain to the general public.
I also would think a possible compromise, of 1,800, vs 2,000 a month would be reasonable—again with the plan, of once the economy is stabilized again and unemployment is back down, implement the 2 percent raise in taxes, so the federal reserve gets refilled.
