At a time when the Biden administration is calling for more renewable energy, ABC News partners-up with Inside Climate News to travel to Williamsport, OH to see how solar energy is tearing a rural community apart. We meet two families at the heart of the conflict: the Scheins have signed a lucrative deal to put solar panels on their farmland, while the Barneses are leading the charge against solar in the county, despite generally thinking renewable energy is a good idea. The tension has changed the culture in their community, spilling over to places like their town hall and church. Neither side is backing down. A renewable energy expert tells us fights like these are breaking out all over the country. We unpack the myths and unknowns about large-scale solar projects and examine the role of rural America in the fight against climate change.

  1. Sounds like a community of communists.
Yes, study the Russian revolution and the Cultural revolution.
    Hypocrites.

  2. I am a member of the Schein family. The Barnes family IS NOT harassing or “snubbing” my family in any way. They are and always have been extremely kind to us. When Mark and Toni came to church, they sat in their normal spot of the church where nobody ever sits. The Barnes family sat where they always have. The person who wrote this article misconstrued the situation into something it isn’t. Much of the information presented in this video is false or a variation of the truth. Please do better, ABC.

Trump: The concept of global warming was created by and for the Chinese in order to make US manufacturing non-competitive.

COP27 needs to be held in Tuvalu or Maldives.

  4. We need OUR FARM LANDS for FOOD . Why can't they find away that each home is self efficient like building windows with solar heat souce . Idk.🤪
Just saying SAVE FOR FOOD TO.
I have watched farms disappearing for years to black top and buildings. When will the people step up, to a healthy world with LESS need for GREED,an anger☮🌏

  5. I'm sorry but I'd you're going to church they have just as much right to go like you do. If your are a believer in God… then your church time should be church time. No negative feelings against them. They already know how you feel. And you already know how they feel. While you're in church let it go. And talk to them. I mean they are the same people that you all were friends with. I understand about the land and farming and in my opinion it should stay as farming. But, they do have the right to have made that decision as we do our's. If you were blood family what would you do? Now the Bible says to love everyone as if they are your brother's and sister's.

  6. I am losing my confidence me itni mehnat karta hu vlog 📸📸 par lekin koi chhote youtuber ko support nhi karta“sab Star ko karte hai bus 🥺😭🥺😭🥺
