I really hope that a thorough investigation into what caused this is conducted… the jumping castle obviously wasn't anchored properly at all.

20. I've seen these inflatable accidents-waiting-to-happen at public & private events all over the world… and rarely are they properly (safely) harnessed to stable objects or the ground.
    
    If there are regulations for installing these injury traps, then most people renting them are unconcerned with those safety regs.
    
    When you consider the thousands of people leasing these things — with no licensing required — how can one be surprised when it goes bad?

26. I have a suggestion to help fix this problem. Make it mandatory for all these types of play equipment have to have a water bladder that surrounds the base. This does add time to the set up and tear down but it would stop something like this from happening. Please share my suggestion on the air as this problem isn't an isolated case. My heart breaks for everyone affected by this and it is sad because this is very avoidable with proper engineering.

27. Yes this is really very sad and devastating. But can we talk about HOW this happened? Its a bouncy castle! With 9 10-11 graders inside, that's like 800 pounds of human inside this bouncy house. And we're assuming there's a motor on the outside keeping it inflated. Plus the stake or two that got put in the ground! I mean like HOW HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE! This was a tornado not some 'gust' of wind like ffs.

28. Ope ban them. Require all children to live in a bubble. Then you won’t have to play the emotional music. The children’s parents need to be arrested for allowing their children to be out without full body armor. It’s tragic but the media sensationalism and manipulative music is just disgusting and you all lap it up like good puppies. They tell you how to feel, how to think..
