  1. The NCAA is just one of those things that the entire political spectrum agrees on. Outside of Big Pharma and Big Banks, name a more universally hated collective than them?

  2. It only legalizes what's been going on for decades.. as far as the NCAA holding players back well anyone can join the NFL you don't have to have a college degree. Anyone can be drafted. We probably won't be seeing any more college student athlete free or cheap new car scandals, the new norm may be so what kind of car can y'all get me if I decide to go to your school and play for your team

  3. NCAA has been a Criminal Empire at least the last 30 years! But giving a 5star recruit a laptop or food money ain't gonna cut it. The top tier athletes that are generating Billions need to be compensated accordingly! We still have a ways to go!!!!!!

  4. If athletes (I'll leave the student part off for now) are going to participate in a free market capitalism atmosphere, are they willing to take the negatives that come with it? Getting fired, etc? And will the next step be taking away transfer rules since the next complaint would likely be that "archaic" transfer rules are limiting a college athlete's ability to make more money somewhere else?
Be careful what you wish for… if you think you are "owned" by the NCAA, it's nothing to how you will be owned by the corporations. The NCAA is your gateway to the pros, where you will make money if you're good enough. It not, you earned a free education and if you chose to squander it and not prepare yourself for the real world, who's fault it that?. You're supposed to be getting an education in college and you're doing it in a way that most other people can not… a full free ride plus all the other under-the-table perks that come with it. Perhaps the right step would be to limit the income colleges can collect from their sports programs. That should solve the problem just as well.

Never mind the impact to the feel of college sports… that died a long time ago. But what will happen to high school sports, and lower, once you've monetized the college experience? The youth sports world is already crap, it will become post Taco Bell crap.

  5. Funny that sports and big companies are making bank by ad and revunes on teams the same time you have big time sports like NBA, NFL and so others making player millions of dollars meanwhile college students make small amount.

  6. There needs to be a class action lawsuit against EA sports! I don't even understand how it is possible to use someone's likeness that's a college student who's not being paid!

  7. When will Nike and other companies compensate "Student"-Athletes
Who are branded and are advertising for Nike and other companies.
Stop supporting Modern Day Slavery, Nike,You can not just brand
Every athlete with whipmark and pay slaves $5 a a day, ENOUGH !
