  1. ironically speaking this hospitality professional has more formal training with special needs than many teachers. I can't imagine what was going through their heads. get down to his level and simply ask to get up politely with a response of a nod or head shake.

  2. That poor boy being dragged by a nurse and teacher And he has Autism I hope the teacher and Nurse gets fired for treating that boy badly it really upsets me hearing news like that.

  3. I'm not a violent person but if that was my autistic child I would tie a long rope to my truck walk into the classroom strap it around that teacher and take off

  4. I believe these events are common. I was in some of these programs and witnessed terrible things. Parents take note schools will lie to you! Principals state the violence has ended but it doesn't. Pull your kids out the first sign of physical abuse; they will take too long to fix the problem…. meanwhile your kid is being hit and in absolute terror!

  5. I was in an "autistic" program in Michigan. I would be locked in a completely dark room. Teachers would close off my nose and throat until I passed out to stop me from crying. I was terrified! I was beaten by other students on a regular bases. I have reported this to law enforcement….they (local law enforcement) threatened to arrest me stating bad things would happen to me if I was not silent. I remain terrified!

  6. We need to make schools specifically made for children with special needs so that the teachers and care providers are trained to deal with these children when their being difficult and frustrating because of their disability or disabilities

  7. I work at a daycare and sometimes dragging kids a few feet does happen. To older kids who know how to walk and refuse to when you tell them to hold your hand and come with you when they’ve been misbehaving. We eventually pick them up and carry them though rather than continuing to drag.

  8. I’m slightly autistic, and once when I was in elementary school, I was getting upset and the teacher tried to take me back to the classroom, but because I was so young (about 9 at the time it happened) and upset I didn’t want to go, then her, and 3 other teachers carried me like one of those things they use in cartoons to get people down from high places, 2 teachers carried me by my arms and the other 2 had my feet, then when we got in the classroom, they threw me into the isolation room, and put a large mat up so I can’t get out. It was sad 😢

  9. When I was in school I had a principal that would punish me for having a handicap. The treatment that I received at the hands of my principal was much worse than what is shown in this video. On one instance I was forced to stick my hand wrist deep in a sink full of vomit. On other occasions I was literally tortured.

  10. There is a big difference between an "assisted lift" and dragging a child hard enough to cause bruising. Unfortunately I think their tempers got the best of them this day and they crossed a line
