  1. Increasing minimum wages to $15 per hour can work for small businesses, if the government will be willing to pay the difference that's needed to reach $15/per hour. (example: Bob makes $7.50 per hour but his employer can't afford to pay $15, the government can pay and extra $7.50 to Bob as long as he remains employed.) This will prevent Bob from losing his job and filing unemployment and help the small business.Increasing minimum wages to $15 per hour can work for small businesses, if the government will be willing to pay the difference that's needed to reach $15/per hour. 2. In our state Indiana the minimum wage is $7.25 an hour $15 an hour that's leaps and bounds. Historically minimum wage when raised has to be done so in increment over time because it is proven fact that the minimum wage once raised must be raised again shortly there after to create a balance

  3. Whoopity do all this does is give millions more in tax revenues an raise the cost of living across the board for working class. Corporations will NOT absorb the extra cost, they will simply raise prices. Wake up people the system is rigged

  4. A lot of these comments are fucking stupid

This was a gradual shift towards $15 an hour, not an overnight $4 pay raise

Hours won’t be cut overall, nor have they. When changes like this happen shift hours may change and some employees hours may be reduced to adjust to new schedules but it’s temporary. Target will need full time employees, always have and always will

Amazon has been paying $15 for a couple years now… they’re not cutting hours AND are hiring more people, especially during the pandemic

There are better things you can be in life than a bootlicker

  5. heres another angle…in my area welders start out between 12 to 20 dollars an hour…if minimum wage gets to 15 an hour, alot of us welders in this area wont want to kill ourselves being a welder if we can flip a burger for a little less…so u will have skilled workers leaving their skilled jobs to become min wage workers ,pushing out those that are unskilled, and these places would love to get us as workers since the job would be so easy to what we are used to…theres a domino effect here..industry will suffer from a shortage of skilled workers, and unskilled workers will not be able to compete with the skilled labor taking their jobs

  6. Thank you for sharing. I stopped caring about minimum wage thanks to the profits I am making from cryptocurrency trading. It’s been 3 months and I have made over 480,000$ so far. I’m grateful.

  7. As TSS I was making $15/hour already before COVID. Ngl, kinda salty AP salary didn’t increase as well when we’re a results based department

  8. Can someone tell me why Target employees are getting 15 dollars an hour. But essential employees who work in hospitals, like myself. Aren’t getting “hero bonuses”. Or anything for that matter. Target here I come I guess.

  9. That explains why the been cutting our hours and hiring new people. Why couldn't they just do it now, they need time to change the work force.has a long term team member all the increases has meant more pay, fewer hours. The company they spend so much money trying to portray, is exact opposite of there corporate structure.

  10. They should have raised it back in March, people on unemployment are receiving $600 a week minimum. It would more profitable to be layed-off than 40 hour week at Target.

  11. In 1967 I worked for McDonald’s for $1.10 an hour, the minimum wage. My supervisor very seriously informed me that three months of perfect work work win me $1.15 an hour. I quit the next day and went to work for GM on the assembly line for 4x more.
