Her boyfriend at the time shouldn't been charged for something how the hell do you leave your pregnant girlfriend on the side of a highway in the desert. No matter how mad you get drop them off at a gas station, a bus stop or somewhere near other ppl. Now he has to live with that guilt for the rest of his life. Woman and his own child gone forever just sad.

Alcala was an opportunist like Manson. In the same way he dulled his true homicidal colours and blended into the hippie movement, portraying himself as a harmless free spirit. But under the technicolor shirt and crystal necklaces, under his hippie camouflage, was a black hearted wretched killer.
