The Marshall Islands are Volcanic Rock ~ The Americans detonated some huge nuclear bombs on the islands. The radioactivity alone has killed a good proportion of the older generations and the sizemic implications of the American testing are not discussed. I think there is more to this story than 'global warming'. Looking at the evidence I would think land subsidence was more likely for their problems than seal level rise.

I love Majuro, Kosrae, and the rest of Marchall Island, I worked there years ago as an engineer. It is a beautiful island, friendly people, and great weather. But it is sinking like a rock in the ocean. Ohh, too bad… booohooo , wah-wah. But wait! but China builds islands with a seaport, airport, and tall buildings (from a coral rock!)… and I am sure China uses Chinese peasant slave labor and Muslims in rehabs. But I know you have some dumb politician that doesn't think and with no brain. But I sure hope most of you are smart, I really believe you can build your own Island not just cry about it, But seriously folks, as soon as you leave the Island, Comunistist China will take over and will build it 4 times its size and will fish your ocean and will eat all your tuna.
