At least russian Troops put their tents in FRONT of the power plant grounds securing the entrance (as the ukrainian drone strike video shows).
Remember march, when russian tanks securing the entrance to the area got attacked in front of the main entrance by ukrainian 'defenders', firing at them from inside the facility from roofs, inside and in front of reactore core buildings?
Media here only showed russian return fire, while things like the elevated walkway in front of the reactors got hit by shells coming from the defenders direction?
Never EVER fire at a tank from the roof of a reactor core building. Never ever.
Facility grounds should be OFF LIMITS to combatants. Ukraine broke that rule in the most deliberately ignorant and uncaring way in march, and they still twist the version of how things happened. They risked a global nuclear catastrophe back then, just to get media coverage on russians returning fire in self defense, then depicting it as an unprovoked attack.
The damage at the plant clearly showed there was fire coming from the reactor cores towards the russian tanks, with complete disregard of hitting facility infrastructure in between.

1) I find it suspicious that within 24hrs of this program there is a report of shelling on the plant and Elensky is blaming Russia… I am strtimg to think that Western supplies of arms to Ukraine are entirely unnecessary given that Russia tends to attack its own positions: the Azov prison, the power plan, Donetsk, etc., with curious persistence (according to the president of Ukraine) 2) I don't know if ABC News is very uninformed or outright liars – Chernobyl was an area of combined control between the RU and UKR, there was no crisis there, no fighting – this was widely reported on by the western media and the atomic energy agency. Noone "retook" the plant – Russians withdrew from the north and the plant went under the sole control of the Ukrainian military. What the reporter meant by "stabilised" is entirely unclear.
