Here's another tidbit. Supposedly 157 million Americans voted this past election. Right now, there are 26,163,656 cases. Let's overestimate US Covid-19 deaths to 500,000 for this example.
500,000 ÷ 26,163,656 = 0.01911 × 100 = 1.9%
26,163,656 ÷ 157,000,000 = 0.16665 × 100 = 16.7%
500,000 ÷ 157,000,000 = 0.003185 × 100 = 0.32%
Using the amount of Americans who voted as a placeholder for the general population (and an overestimation of US Covid-19 deaths), roughly 17% of the US population has been infected, with only ~2% of those infected leading to death.
The death count overestimation compared to the general population is ~0.32%. [Less than half of a percent].
Even with overestimating the US Covid-19 death count, these percentages would actually be lower when you take into account millions of Americans that did not vote as well.
