A small explanation – why Russia is right.
Today for the first time I watched the Ukrainian program "Ukraine-24", where they discussed the recognition of the independence of the DPR and LPR. Two points struck me:
1. The guest of the program, a Ukrainian politician, said that the implementation of the "Minsk agreements" would have ruined Ukraine. Therefore, no one was going to fulfill them. But, now this is a good reason for sanctions.
2. Another guest of the program said the following words: "… the Russian military are used to dealing with the regular army. They need to send the armed population towards them. Russian soldiers will not be able to shoot…." !!!!
There was a lot more there. But! I am struck by the cold cynicism and practicality of the Ukrainian elite. The lives of their own citizens are nothing. They can be exchanged for dollars, hiding behind Russian aggression.
