Take guns a way from civilians, let the Police, the professionals do their job. getting a firearm from a local store should not be a thing, every human is different with their own issues, a firearm is not the solution for that. U should not allow that kind of power to a normal civilian when it comes to those kind of situations. It just creates chaos into the situations that the professionals should be able to handle with care and training. I believe the Police work would not be as tressful either if they didnt have to face a firearm every time they go to a case.

Here is the contradiction: the US Constitution has always protected gun ownership and the use of guns but over all the decades since the writing of this document we have not seen such extreme shootings so something has changed in the past twenty years.
