If oil companies are going to artificially create a gas shortage by reducing their refinery production, they should at least stop influencing the production of electric cars in the USA. They can't have it both ways.

It's a bandaid on a chainsaw wound. This wouldn't do a damn thing. Many stations will just bump up their price anyway, so they'll pocket the profits instead. And the best gift is that at the end of the 3 months the government will just do another tax increase somewhere to make up the lost revenue.

18.4 + 51.1+10+2+15+22= $1.19 per gallon
