He says he doesn't remembered anything and his family later says that he had been sleepwalking in the past and beeing violent sometimes, which match to his story of don't remembering anything and he never said he sleepwalks..makes me thinks he's innocent but there is indeed some weird stuff. Then again no one's case is fully ,,innocent" or fully "guilty", there is always some aspects that show otherwise.

  10. I think he’s innocent. If I say your a killer doesn’t mean it’s true. There wasn’t enough evidence. And just because one doesn’t look at you in the eye when talked to makes you a killer or guilty. I have the habit of not looking people in the eye.

  13. He didn't think he would be seen killing his wife, and was "disoriented" out of shock and panic that he was caught by an eye witness. The only thing he could think of was "I don't remember". It seems like the oldest lie in the book- pretend it "wasn't me" somehow by claiming some mental condition with "amnesia". Others have tried this unsuccessfully, their lies debunked by clinicians.

  18. He's so calm when told he's stabbed his wife to death, and he says he (loved) her in past tense ' not in the present.

  19. When he went to kill his wife, he never expected that the neighbors would look over the fence and catch him in the act. Once the cops showed up, he knew he was caught and had to concoct a story to save his ass QUICK. I do NOT believe a word he says—he is the type who believes his own lies…and let me tell you, these types of people can come across as quite convincing.

  22. edroom window in -25I do believe that people sleepwalk! My 18 year old, broke thru his bedroom window in _25 weather, severing his artery in his arm. He walked barefoot in snow, thru the house and was going back to bed! My husband was up eating at 1:00am otherwise he would bleed to death! * hr surgery to repair his arm!

  32. As he tells his story, you can see he has the "duper's delight" smile on his face. It's so weird. I want to believe he's telling the truth, but my gut is telling me something different.

  34. I'm a sleep walker and I don't believe you could do all that activity in your sleep. It just doesn't happen that way. Unless he was on some kind of hypnotic but even then I would have a really hard time believing this unbelievable defense

  35. I actually would buy this. I used to be prescribed a cocktail of Seroquel and Ambien at night. It made me do some crazy things, though not murder anyone, thankfully. Still, I managed to sleep walk to the supermarket next to my house and McDonalds (I don't eat fast food), and make purchases that I found next to my bed the next day with no recollection of having gone there or purchasing that stuff. I found notes to myself on the nightstand the next day written in handwriting that wasn't mine the next day. My theory on that one is that I was writing them with the opposite hand of what I would usually use. I woke up having had dreams not knowing whether they actually happened or I had just dreamed them. Don't underestimate the power of mental health drugs, especially when they're prescribed for conditions for which they were not created, which is often the case when it comes to mental healthcare. Seroquel was developed to alleviate symptoms of schizophrenia. I'm not schizophrenic. I will say that as a child, I also had sleep issues. I didn't sleep walk. But I had night terrors and sleep paralysis. Both of which I still suffer from to this day.

  36. Although I'm not sure I'd do it differently (because I'm female and petite), I'm confused as to why the male neighbour who witnessed the murder didnt tell out to the husband and intervene, rather than phone the police in the first instance… 🤔

  37. To my shame, years ago I've taken sleeping pills during the day. I got to a bus stop travelled to visit my mom in hospital had a full normal visit, speaking coherently, spoke to nurses etc made my way home… NO MEMORY OF ANY OF IT SO…. I believe it can happen

  38. I think it could be possible for a person to have done this, but that person wouldn't change, put on a band aid, any of that. I used to sleep walk, you aren't thinking clearly when you come out of it. Then, an innocent person pleads, it's an outward act. Scott is defensive and inward.

  42. The eyes are a window to ones soul and the eyes never lie. U can always see the intent and truth behind them. His eyes alone give away hes lying.

  44. He is making good money…some nerdy girl starts flirting with him at work. His wife is a good wife but she's not his intellectual equal and she has not aged well. He starts thinking about how different his life could be. He's a smart guy-he probably thought this is the only way he could get away with murder (the sleepwalker defense) so he tried it because remember Henry David Thoreau said “Most men lead lives of quiet desperation,” and he was probably going through a midlife crisis and thought this gamble was worth it. He is risking jail but maybe he thought he would would get something that limited his jailtime due to not being pre-meditated, or maybe he thought-best case scenario-he'd go free and then have it all.
