9. There have been too many mass shootings this year already. The only ones to get attention are the ones carried out by white guys, or like the case in Colorado, suspected white guys.    Look at the list of mass shootings from this year and see who the killers and victims were. The majority of these shootings weren’t perpetrated by whites. But since they don’t follow the media’s narrative it’s radio silence on these awful crimes.

   The obsession of race and identity politics does nothing but create hate where none existed previously and the hate that did exist only gets worse. It’s more harmful then it could ever be helpful.

    Labeling this a hate crime only because the perp is a different race than MOST, not all, of his victims is not sufficient evidence of it being a hate crime. If there isn’t proof of prior hate or animosity towards Asians then it is not a hate crime. Doesn’t make the crime any less egregious and evil, it just doesn’t make it a crime based on race.

Although, I disagree that this should be labeled a hate crime without evidence that he hates Asians because of race. 2 out of the 8 victims weren’t even Asian. Does that justify his actions? Of course not, but it also doesn’t justify labeling it a hate crime either. That would set a dangerous precedent.

18. If someone shot up 3 police station would you believe the shooter when he said he doesn't have any thing against cops, and that he just has a gun addiction and blame the police for the addiction? Exactly, yea right. Quit being lazy with the investigation and/or the prosecution. "Too hard to prosecute" is not a reason for you to NOT do your job. It's an excuse.

    logic establishes a relationship between two events, i.e, if you commit a crime, you will be punished for it.
    through these relationships, causality is developed. "this crime was done because…"
    that is how logic and reasoning go hand in hand.

22. Respect. There needs to be more public education about the definition of what a hate crime is and why it is defined that way. The distinction between "hate crime" and the racial component of this case have become too blurred, without consideration for the sexual addiction part of the story here. Both shooters of this case and Colorado bought their firearms shortly before going on their respective rampages. What causes these people to snap? Very sorry all this has happened. 28. How about we get some real journalism? Find answers to questions like, "How far did he travel from his home to the massage parlors? Did he purposely drive out of his way avoiding those owned by white people in order to target those owned by Asians? Were there other massage parlors in his own neighborhood? Was this in his own neighborhood? How many customers and workers in massage parlors are made up of women vs men?"
    It's easy to give stats without focusing on other factors and then make your own narrative. All facts matter. Not just the ones that give the ratings.

    Most importantly, the murderer killed 8 people. Whether it is racial or non-racial, he eventually killed 8 people.
