You are confused about the difference b/w a "Jet" and a "propeller" aircraft. ABC News needs to hire a person w/ half a brain who knows the difference!
These are propeller-driven aircraft they are not Jets The long Canopy Indicates that they are SBD dive bombers like George Bush Senior flew. They are propeller-driven. The only Jets that entered service in WW 2 were ME 262 and HE 162 from Germany, Frank Whittle designed Meteor, Bell Aircomet P-59
