  1. She was more concerned about losing her job. As a policeman with 31 years on the job, the scenario of the shooting does not add up from what has been testified to. In my opinion, Amber Guyger was no more qualified to be a police officer than the man in the moon. She wasn't paying attention as to where she was or her surroundings. If this is what Dallas Police is putting out on the streets of Dallas, then they are scraping the bottom of the barrel. Ten years in prison was not an adequate sentence in my opinion. When she had her gun on him, she was in control and he did not lunge towards her. She thought it was a slam dunk justified shooting and it would have been if she was in her own apartment but she was in his. Most of the time I am supportive of police officers in shootings because I have seen some nasty shootings in my day. This was an inexcusable homicide because the victim did not or attempt to attack Amber Guyger. You don't shoot someone because you legally can… You shoot when there is real fear and not bare fear.

  2. You're forgetting Guyger is apart of the "system" is likely that somebody coerced him to "forgive" her going so far as to hug her

  3. After reading several of the comments to my post I see that, and really already knew that, there there is a lot of anger in our society. If we are going to live in a country that is worth passing on to our children and grandchildren we have to work on doing a better job. First we have to start with ourselves! Sadly, we can't change the past and the future is not promised to anyone, —– so what can a person do today??? They can start by looking inside themselves to see if there is wickedness, selfishness, bitterness and resentment. Everybody is going to have to stand before God someday and answer for themselves, so nobody is going to get away with anything!!! Life is really short, even if I live to be old, so what is going to be my legacy? How can I make a difference? Can hate really make anything right? Will my bitterness solve any problems or will it poison me? God had a solution to this dilemma, He said, vengeance is His job — it belongs to Him. If we take it on ourselves to take revenge, we are "playing God" and God does not like that at all! I need God to help me, I don't want His anger at me. Also, what is thinking hateful thoughts and planning hateful deeds doing to me? Bitterness leads to cruelty. The tough thing about this is that it usually ends up hurting somebody that you love. If I can throw off this hate and let God deal with my hurts, let Him give the punishment, then I can break some chains inside myself. God who created humans, knows me and He knows how I can best get through this tough world. Reasonably, why wouldn't I let Him carry that load??? He is BIG!!! I can then be free to work on making myself the best I can be, which will take a lot of work because I am no angel! If I improve myself, maybe I will be a better person for the people I love. Maybe I will find a real purpose for my life. Maybe I will do some really good in this crazy world—- But First I Have to Work on Me!!! —- because anger and revenge go around and around and never solve anything, never make anything better, and never create anything anybody can depend on. I have to be careful what I let myself think about and what I let myself listen to. I have to do something constructive everyday to make myself a better person, even if it is a little thing. I have to choose to swim against the current flow of hate and anger in our country and ask God to show me what good He wants from me. Do we want to heal our country and heal our broken hearts and lives???? We have to start by working on ourselves one day at a time.

  4. One of the greatest acts of forgiveness and love I've ever seen!! Kid is following Jesus's teachings like we ALL should! And when I see video of the protesters I get a really evil vibe!!!

  5. That father and family, l'm sorry to say are so naive. They live in a state that has never been on the moral side of any national debate, but yet they somehow believe their dead family member hugging a killer cop will change the paradigm. Reverse the situation and that poor dead man still would have faced his death.

  6. Before you know it everyone’s going to expect all African- Americans to just hug their killers & if not they will claim we’re hateful beings! 🤦🏻‍♀️ Yeah Christianity has them brainwashed!! Smh

  7. Blacks are supposed to be good Christians and forgive whites, right. I don't understand why the same doesn't apply to whites. White juries are merciless with young blacks and black children as they always get lengthy sentences and even the death penalty for crimes that are not even heinous. I heard the son of the lady from Australia and man, was he hateful. The black police man didn't see her when she approached the car still he got 12 years and plenty of hate from the family, the judge and the white jury. I have never seen a white judge hugging a black defendant not even after they are declared innocent.

  8. I can see why people are upset, the court is a joke. The judge and jurors crying for the killer and totally forget the victim who they treat like criminal throughout. The judge and junior's spend so much time crying for the murderer and fixing her hair in the courtroom they forget justice for Jean.
    Despicable

  9. People out here saying she doesn't deserve this act of mercy?!

And they are 100% right, she didn't deserve mercy. However it would not be mercy if it was deserved.

This young man, truly emulates the love of Christ, in that whilst we were sinners Christ opened his arms and welcomed us to be in a relationship with him by taking the penalty our sins deserved upon himself.

That is what forgiveness is! It is taking the hurt that someone has caused you and bearing it yourself, not holding it against them.

  10. That hug seemed far too comfortable for both of them.Also..no one has addressed the fact A MURDERER declared by her own peers could possibly get off earlier on parole…. Write a book, or sell her side of the story to many newsrooms and get rich. While an innocent man is gone forever.

  11. Good for him! I honestly thought she deserved 15 years plus in that way she would do 10 just versus getting 10 and only doing 7 but either way Justice was served for someone that actually went to the wrong apartment and killed what they thought was an intruder. I understand she had racist like text but to me that is just locker room talk and we all have those talks but would she go kill a black man just because that I can not say. Justice was served in my eyes!

  12. Mr. Brandt Jean,
you are the best of what being a human means.
May god bless you, your family and guide you to heaven.
Really amazing moment, thank you for showing us the way with such a display of compassion, understanding and loving that we read about only on our religious books.
Love you man, you are amazing

  13. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH WHAT HE SAID BUT THAT WOMAN GOT OFF EASY. THE WAY THIS SOCIETY TREATS MEN VS HOW IT TREATS WOMEN IS A DISGRACE EXSPEACILLY BLACK MEN AND WOMEN. IF THE SHOE WE'RE ON THE OTHER FOOT AND HE KILLED HER IN COLD BLOOD, HE PROBABLY WOULD'VE GOT TWENTY TO LIFE. THE STATE OF TEXAS SHOULD BE EMBARRASSED.

  14. THAT IS HOW THEY DO IT IN ST LUCIA WHERE THEY WORSHIP WHITE JESUS FOR CENTURIES!!! YOU DONT PUT A CHILD TO DO WHAT PARENTS ARE CHARGED TO DO FOR THE FAMILY!!! HE LACKS WISDOM AND UNDERSTANDING OF THE DEVICES OF THE ENEMIES OF GOD AND GOD 'S PEOPLE!!

  15. I know people with SIMPLE marijuana charges who got more prison / jail time than her! I know innocent people in prison for LIFE! FUCK THIS CORRUPT SYSTEM.

  16. His is something you will never seen a white family do if the roles were reversed. Taking blood for blood is in their nature and their lives are worth more to them than our’s

  17. I'm not hugging the murderer who killed my family member. The actions of brother, the judge and the bailiff show that SOME (not all) black people in America have been brainwashed to have more compassion and sympathy for a racist white woman who murdered an innocent man in his own home than the victim himself. 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️

  18. It's pathetic how some people are saying she made a mistake what is she a child lol she killed someone it doesn't matter if she did it on accident she should of gotten life such a bullshit case. She went into his apartment any smart person would of notice different things before going into the apartment how do you not know you're own place lol slow much.

  19. This is one of the most powerful videos I have ever seen. If there is one thing I know about this young man from watching this video….is that he is a Christian.

But that is not mentioned. Why? Because he did not refuse to bake a cake. Because he didn't molest someone. Because he did not just cheat on a spouse. THOSE are the only things the media wants to portray when it comes to Christians. Has anyone heard of Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church? OF COURSE. he is t he face of Christianity according to the media. No mention that he is a Democrat and his Church AT IT'S PEAK was about 70 people – half were family members.

But we all know this man is a Christian.
