so every government employee gets some time off, all their money accumulates and gets paid to them at the end of the shutdown, so it isn't nearly as bad as actually losing your job like so many other Americans. Yes its inconvenient , but stop the melodrama. Another point that this demonstrates, is that if there are hundreds of thousands of "non essential" government employees, maybe the private sector could rehire everyone and provide the same services , only faster, better, and cheaper?
