35. What’s interesting about this is that she owns the publishing of the songs but does not own the physical recordings. What they are banking on are the songs potential future earnings, through licensing the songs out to movies, streaming services, i’m sure they even get a cut from the YouTube views from her music videos because they contain the audio. They are not just going to sell them back to her. The future earnings are going to be so much more valuable than anything they could get right now. This is going to turn so nasty.

The fact that they are saying she had the chance to own her masters but, "chose to leave" indicates to me that they were trying to get her to sign and stay with Big Machine and offered the masters as the prize. She didn't want to stay. She just wanted to buy her masters and walk away from them (and likely Scooter). Since she refused, they are doing exactly what she says they are doing: Bullying her, messing with her career, and holding her songs hostage. It's ridiculous. She's the biggest artist on Big Machine, and they aren't happy she didn't stay with them. But, if it were me, I wouldn't have stayed either.
