  1. THOSE BUSINESS PEOPLE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE TARIFFS ?? WELL THEY BETTER COMPLAIN TO THE DEMS .PELOSI AND SCHUMER, IF THEY AGREE ON THE BORDER WALL AND NO ILLEGALS. THEN TRUMP DON'T HAVE TO SET THOSE TARIFFS, DDDUUUHHHH. SO SHUT UP. TRUMP KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING.

  2. Russia loves this, it means that USA is losing business with the world. And more trade from the world with China and Russia instead of salty US of A.

  3. yes, it's out of date (at least 12 hours old…), but trump STILL has no idea how tariffs work, or doesn't want his supporters to know. tariffs are PAID by american citizens that import goods. full stop. AMERICANS not the countries that the goods come from, pay he tariffs. in fact, tariffs were designed by emerging countries with immature industries as a means to compete on an international level while their manufacturing expertise matured. it was a self-sacrifice to levy tariffs. but countries imposed them in order to engender manufacturing in their own country, at the expense of the citizens of that country to be able, IN THE FUTURE, to compete successfully with countries that had a well established manufacturing history.

  4. Why you always lyin'? All of you, anyone in a suit is nothing but a liar to pad their own wealth and to spread the illegals germs to us so they can have the promise of all people being put in harms way for culling…all except the filthy rich that is. They feel nothing.

  7. With this breaking news that President Trump has gone back on his word and is proceeding with new tariffs against Mexico, then Mexico needs to retaliate. Mexico needs to stop all trade imports with the U.S. and dissolve the NAFTA all together then start trade with Canada, Central and South American countries and China. An increase in U.S. tariffs on all remaining imports from Mexico, would result in significant economic losses for American exporters and importers of the targeted products and lead to cascading trade costs to other sectors, devastating the American economy, the likes not seen since the Great Depression. Trump’s threat to tax Mexican products has rattled American financial markets and prompted an outcry from American businesses that would be affected, including automakers, agricultural companies and retailers. Mexico is the key supplier of products like fresh tomatoes and grapes and tons of other vegetables and fruits; blue jeans; HD Smart LED Televisions; 70% of medical devices; and automobiles. The chairman of the Federal Reserve said on Tuesday that the central bank was watching Mr. Trump’s trade war warily and would act to prevent economic damage from the conflict but feels that with the deadline approaching it may be too late. The U.S. goods and services trade deficit with Mexico was $72.7 billion in 2018. In 2020 there may be no trading between the two countries which would spell an economic disaster for both economies by 2020.

  13. Not True!! U.S. and Mexico have reached an agreement to help with our southern boarder, so tariff will not take effect unless Mexico fails to meet it's agreement.

  14. This is CBS-Olds.
You reposted this today and it was compiled/broadcast early yesterday, and the deal was struck last night . This is outright misdirection CBS. This is beyond bias, it is pulling up an out of date story and announcements and posting it at 7am this morning. You are not informing the public but hoping the public remains misinformed.

I'm no Trump fan, but I'm a pro US citizen. This whole thing has gone OK for us if Mexico will live up to their promises made last night. Mexico has been abusing this situation for over a decade. He hit them where it hurt, and they bellied up finally.
