  1. It’s one thing for a motor to fail catastrophically under the hood. It’s another thing when it fails catastrophically while you’re straddling it. Really cool though.

  2. Top of turbo efficiency means you're making more heat than boost. Without the intercooler you're just adding heat to the intake charge while you're trying to go up past your efficiency range. the intercooler will net you a few more horsies at the top by bringing that charge temp down. Would be cool to see the math for air density=hp to estimate a difference between intercooled and not.
