  8. I put in for my invite couple weeks ago. I'll buy a nexus 6 if they approve me. Seems like a great plan and service. Curious if it will drop like the networks say theirs doesn't when switching between their 4glte voice and regs 4g voice while driving. I know it's not up yet but what do you think…. They figured it out?

I made the switch to republic wireless a little while ago and it worked great.  $10 for unlimited talk, text, and internet.  The never had a problem with dropped calls switching from wifi to cell towers.  1yr of Republic Wireless equaled to 3 months of Verizon.  Verizon wasn't even unlimited.  I was hesitant to switch, but when I did, I won't go back.

  13. In India, it's not a new concept to prepay for the amount of data you gonna use on monthly basis. It's around 4$ for the 1GB data. It's not LTE though, it's 3G. I mostly work on WiFi.

  18. Google is not going to buy Sprint.  Sprint was just purchased by Softbank who has a HUGE investment into the company, so why would google purchase them?  If anything they'd purchase T-Mobile who is own by a parent company who is trying to unload it.

    The real question is, why did Google pair with the worst two networks in the world?  As long as you have wifi that's great, but if you want to use your phone outside of a large city, good luck.  Sprint's network has been notoriously bad, and T-Mobile's network is just as bad, or even worse.    John LaGay, wants to change the wireless network for the better however his network is absolutely horrible and he's business practices have done nothing but promote an environment where his employees are disgruntled and most want to or are leaving.  When you employees don't care, your network, and thus your customers, will suffer.

    I get 1.5gb unlimited txt and $650 call for $18 AUD. That's around $14 US dollars. I can also add data around 77c US a GB

  24. I don't think project Fi is a good choice for anyone right now. 10 dollars for 1gb is way too much. Specially for Nexus 6 users, these people aren't your mom or dad, who use data more than checking emails and facebook, these are users who stream music, watch youtube or netflix on their phone. 1 – 2 GB is nothing. For me at least it is much better to use someone like metroPCS who uses T-Mobile's 4G network (which is pretty fast), and costs $60 unlimited EVERYTHING. I use at least 5GB a month, and I would also think most N5-N6 users would be around this much usage. TL:DR = Google Project Fi is not cost effective for the users they are targetting.

  27. Actually Jayce, in my area, DSL WiFi is so much slower than my data on my FreedomPop hotspot and my T-Mboile 4G LTE. It really depends on the area in which you live in or you are just around at that time. Because in some places the Wifi is fast, my freedompop hotspot cant get a signal and my 4G LTE on T-Mobile goes all the way H speeds. lol So it varies. No one place is going to be great and not one consumer will be satisfied. But we all pay for what we get and definitely ask for. That is the truth.

  31. this excites me. Im already on tmobile so I love their coverage and speed. The ONLY thing that makes me think of staying on tmobile is their music freedom. I do stream play music via bluetooth in my car. Although I am still using the free 6 months I got when I bought my N6. So maybe that wont matter once that ends; still not sure if I want to pay for play music lol

  35. Great informative vid as always! Google Fi is the reason my wife and I prefer Google and Android over crapple. Google isn't afraid to break new ground with services that might help out the average consumer! Don't need a useless $17,000 gold play watch but do need cellular service that challenges the big 4 in the US!
