  1. I need ways to install better fonts local and into SYSTEM usr/shared/fonts and I need FOnt Manager gui. for my own architectural style fonts. Can you review RHEL / Rocky font with Font Manager. I cannot find a proper installation instruction for Rocky 9

  2. Hey Chris, have you looked into enabling cloudflare fonts. It automatically rewrites the google api to serve the fonts from their cdn. I personally am I cloudflare fan boy so I keep everything on cloudflare I love there server response time.

  3. there is a good tool called font-forge, you can load the font and remove all the characters you dont need, makes a huge difference, especially if you are using a font just for a logo and you only need a couple of characters, but even if its just general use, you can cut the size by maybe 50-60% and leave just standard English alphabet, numbers and punctuation, thats a massive win in page loading speed

  4. please make a tutorial for wordpress + elementor because I tried and it doesn't work, I installed the plugin and activated it, but litespeed cache doesn't work anymore.
make a tutorial how to follow the steps manually without plugin.

  5. Check out Cloudflare's Turnstile. It's a faster, more privacy-respecting replacement for reCAPTCHA. Plus it doesn't have those annoying picture questions!

  6. Hey, I was wondering if I could ask a quick LibreOfficeWriter tech question… I love Librewriter for the dark mode.. I'm a musician and use an HP laptop on stage to see my music.. But the problem I'm having is that Librewriter is not working with Windows 10 Touchscreen,, Is this a LibreOffice Writer problem.. Am I missing something??? Thanks…

  7. Excuse me i have flashdisk with write protected, how to unlock or change back read write, thank you

    I have used:
    – hdparm -r0
    – mount -o remount
    – dosfsck -a

  8. Changing to svg and webp on all images would help a little, but biggest problem is all third party stuff in there and I don't have any solusion for that if you need to have ad's and tracking, I have django site with A rank there but I don't use any js at all, It's kind of amazing what you can do nowdays with just a css.

  9. What does cause that huge load of traffic you mentioned in your "Goodbye, Netlify" video?
There isn't that much on your site and even 2.000.000 visits/month shouldn't result in that much traffic.
    Imagine 2mio * 10MB/page wouldn't get close to 1TB of traffic.

    Just don't get it.

  10. Hi Chris! Your static page has bad performance and bad optimization practices. Only 52 points on mobile. Check the lighthouse in your browser or page speed insights. Well… I'm a WordPress developer and my web pages have better performance than your static page. I have more features, bigger images, and animations. Hosted on a poor sharing server without even Cloudflare. Try to beat this. I don't like when someone says bad words about WordPress, I know why. It is easy to learn but it is hard to master. All fancy page builders and 5 million plugin kill performance in this amazing and easy to use CMS. If you want to know more check foozagency and ask for Wojtek.

  11. The only downside of GTmetrix is it will show you results based on desktop emulation.
That's why I'd rather use Google Chrome build-in tools inside the browser.
More than 50% of people use mobile devices when surfing the web, so it makes more sense to check that.

  12. I avoid the GDPR and latency issue by not using them via APIs. If the license allows it, I'll download and host the font directly instead (Google Fonts' license allows this, I haven't looked at Bunny's license).

  13. Sounds great and if it works great, but most guides for hugo on cloudflare pages are bullshit. The "Push it to Github" part is, where most guides get very unspecific and get to a problem, especialy if you have more than one site. wordpress on the other hand works well, but slower, but works and there are no lines like ( push it to github ) which stands in reallity for 10 steps condenced into one, so that you have to find out how to do it yourself

  14. Can someone help me? Which Distro should I use? Endeavour OS or something else? I used some time ago Linux, at least I tried. But I always go back to Windows, but i dont want it. I like Linux so much but I dont know should i use Arch or Ubuntu Based Distros? I already used Mint, KDE Neon, Ubuntu, Elementary OS and Pop!OS. I used Pop!OS some months ago and broked it. Then I installed Windows. But how I sayed, I dont like Windows. I confused what I should use.

  15. for gtmerix use account (free) – otherwise you get results test from Canada 🙂 as a logged is user you can several more location for US or Europe otherwise EU users will starge high numbers from overseas test

  16. Hi sir I have a lot of difficulties trying to get started with arch Linux I can use Debian distros fine but I don't know what is that you or what is that Pac-Man between it and yeah what all of that can you make a video for beginner how to just getting started and to clear all of this mess understanding thanking advanced

  17. Are there any benefits of using a separate CDN for hosting things like fonts over hosting them on your own website?
Certainly the best way to ensure GDPR compliance would be to host them yourself.

  18. I don't know about today, but back in the days of yore when bandwidth was a challenge, one of the things that we found that sped up websites, especially graphically intensive ones was the pictures. Most would use a full resolution picture, with the 16 million colour palate. If you cut down the size of the graphic, and remap it to a 256 colour palate, sites became blazing fast on initial load. Maybe it's an optimization for a website that has passed it day, but then again, I don't develop websites anymore. 🙂
