really shocked that Maddie did not get a helmet as well or even added to the plaque she might not have been the pilot but she was part of the crew…. these kinds of video ware the channel made enough revenue to purchase a helicopter and then it is used to help many people is better then any other video with toys or machine purchased with you tube channel community. makes it worthwhile
As we come to the 1 year mark from Helene, I have a few things to say. Namely, Thank you to every private pilot who decided to come up here and help out. We were without power for 10 days, cell service for 5, trapped in the neighborhood for 4, because the bridge out the back way had collapsed, and the front entrance had 3 separate locations with trees 3 feet thick over the road. I saw the groups of Chinook helicopters flying in, and I knew that they would be, typical for disaster relief, but every 10-15 minutes I'd hear a private helicopter go by, run outside and see a red one, a blue one, a black one with a yellow stripe, I saw all manner of private helicopters flying, all day long. When we finally got some cell service back I opened flight radar and saw a ton of private helicopters flying around the mountains all over. We got lucky where I live, and only had some trees fall, but to be cut off like that, with no knowledge of what the roads are like, if the town is even there, everything that was wrong, was terrifying. I kept reminding myself that I have a creek in the backyard that comes from a spring 1/4 mile away, I can start a fire and boil it if I need to, we had canned food to survive off of if we needed to, and that we'd be fine until things started going back to normal. I was right, but if it wasn't for the constant obvious help being delivered around, it may not have. If the skies were empty, I likely would have thought we were forgotten about. It still blows me away to think about the fact that we actually went through this. We now have a disaster preparedness cabinet that we've been working on. Won't be caught with our pants down a second time!

I was relocated from upstate SC due to the hurricane damage and when we finally had my family settled and the first moment of peace I had in days at that point I remember sitting down in a chair and taking my phone out to relax with some YouTube (we had been no power/no internet for 3-4 days at that point so had so little information about the larger world). Your videos were the first one's I watched to get a real sense for the scope of the problems. Have been a subscriber and fan ever since.

I remember watching the original video from home in South Carolina (which was in the path of Helene but unaffected) and man I couldn't have been prouder of Cleet and Maddie for jumping into the fire and saving as many lives as possible. This is what humanity is about and the only way we get better. I'm thankful of Cleet and Fam for being good people and just doing the right thing despite the risks. Lifelong fan/fam!! Also, this was Consuela 's first time in action, fresh from inspections and paint and dam did she come to party or what!! just in time.
