Exclusive: The LG Audi smartwatch runs webOS!

In this Android Central exclusive video, we learn that the mysterious (and oh-so-sexy) Audi smartwatch by LG in fact is NOT running Android Wear, but instead is running Open webOS. It’s got a number of LG applications on it, has cellular data, and can be used to control some features of Audi vehicles, as seen at CES 2015 in Las Vegas.

  1. Hands down the best looking smart watch to date. Sadly, due to the fact that it runs WebOS, and not Android Wear, I will have to take a pass. Otherwise this would absolutely be on my wrist when it comes out.

  2. Какое же на данный момент убожество ВСЕ смарт-часы.

  3. デザインもUIもしゃれてていいなぁ。

  4. Would be nice to know the release date. People complaining about the lag, it's possible that it's still a prototype with software optimizations yet to be performed.

  5. First word I said after reading this Video title was "WoW" . I'm so happy that WebOS is back. Everyone used to copy their Innovation, even Apple with their card multitasking interface. They deserve to be in the Smartphone field also they weren't so lucky before

  6. Looks superb, but using the touch screen to navigate lists is not the best way, hopefully those 3 controls on the right can be used to scroll up/down and select, like with the very intuitive and pleasing to use Pebble.

  7. Was excited; until I watched this. Seemed like a laggy Android Wear; NOT WebOS. Pass on LG's ugly (Android) icons too. Liked the scroll bar/wheel though.

  8. For some reason looks really Sexy…maybe it just my brain reacting to the stamp branding of Audi… because the smart part of my brain is telling me that it looks just like the Moto 360
