With hints circulating that the Pixel 9a might launch a little earlier than expected, it’s a good time to look at what Google might be giving us with the next A series phone. A long-rumored redesign is welcome but with some supposed lackluster updates to the hardware, is this worth trading in your current Pixel 8a? More details: https://andauth.co/GooglePixel9a

Android Authority 😢. Resort to cheap clickbait tactics
If you're the target audience of the a series, you shouldn't be upgrading often anyway, especially every year
I think I'm due an upgrade from my Pixel 3 🤪
Dislike for asking us to subscribe.
You forget, many of us Pixel devotees, HATE THAT EFFIN' BUMP! I am selling my 9xl and definitely getting the 9A
Upgrade from pixel 4a is it worth it?
I'll be upgrading from my pixel 2 to this.
What about PWM?
Looks like very good alternative to iPhone 16e!
Personally, if you have NO PHONE, this is my new first phone, it sounds good
the design sold me already but I'm broke
They really got rid of every design aspect that made the pixel phones unique. Now it just looks like every other new phone. How boring. Also why are the bezels so big? Like make the side bezels small at least cause that just looks terrible.
I bought the Pixel 8 in December 2023…. And Google had an upgrade deal over the holidays to upgrade to a Pixel 9 with a trade-in for about $100. That was a no-brainer. So folks be on the lookout for similar upgrade deals on the Pixel 9a.
im planning on upgrading from my 4a to the 9a, hope its a bit bigger screen wise.
It's really bad when you're excited about a battery . It's a phone . End of .
The Tensor G4 is already weak enough. It scores half that of the A18 Pro. It’s gonna slow down the 9A like crazy. The regular 9 series already have laggy chips, why make it more laggy
Love my 6A, but maybe time to upgrade.
I love the rear design…
This phone does not come with a charger. It runs on electricity and has no charger.
I would be happy if the Pixel 9a had a slower processor than the Pixel 9. This is because for me the increase in battery life that you get with a slower processor is an exchange that is worth sacrificing processor speed for. My son's Nokia G10 has a 3 day battery life which is due to its large screen hiding a large battery, its screen being a lower power 720p LCD and its processor being a slow low power MediaTek G25 processor. I hope that the Pixel 9a takes similar steps to increase battery life.
I do not like squared off edges because they make the phone less comfortable to hold. I prefer the rounded edges that I have in my wife's Pixel 6a and my iPhone SE 2020.
Hmmmmmmm, I'm looking at the Pixel 9A and the rear camera housing doesn't look completely flushed with the device…….it appears to protrude ever so slightly and since it doesn't stretch across the phone, I can see it wobbling a bit if you should use it while it's laying on a desk or table. Every Pixel device's rear camera bar or "visor", beginning with the Pixel 6 series, stretched across the entire device, making them completely still if used while sitting on a desk or table. I also think the camera bar made for a kind of iconic and recognizable look, distinguishing the Pixel phones from all the others, so I'm not a big fan of the "new" rear camera housing on the upcoming Pixel 9A. Just my opinion!
That display to body ratio is awful. I dont understand why google continuing to use the Samsung's exynos chip which samsung tryd to avoid, it heats up the phone while using the camera longer 😂
Just barely cheaper than the OnePlus 13R, that's flagship performance. Or just get a used flagship from last year. No reason to go for this device.
Im a fan of the 7a not a fan of the 8a looks to toyish with the rounder corner, im a fan of the 9pro and a fan of the 9a
I have an s10e I've had for over 5 years and might upgrade to this phome
After they forced my beauty small pixel 4a to a new update and ruined my battery and cant even charge properly the phone anymore i will only say 2 words for google, FAC IU! no more google phones.
I have a Pixel 4a that received a battery-killing update from Google. But for this, we got a €120 hardware coupon. When the Pixel 9a is released, I hope the 8a gets an extra discount, and with my coupon and trade-in, it will be an unbelievably cheap deal.🤑
wow i'm surprised that it doesn't have bigger bezels than the 8a, they been increasing them yearly since the pixel 4a.
