part 2 of this 50 year old single axle gravely tractor was rescued from a barn after sitting 20 some odd years. on pt 1 we got it to run, but that was the easy part, getting it to cut is even more of a challenge, lets see how we make out.

imagine being in the middle of a field, by yourself and putting this thing in reverse…??? foot gets stuck in the mud or brush, next thing you know, your a permanent part of the property you so loved..? i’m not big on safety stuff but this’s crazy equipment to operate. good video bud😊
did ya sharpen the blade ? or replace it?
that tractor was how snow blowers were invented. the front auger section would attach to the front of the tractor
Those dual wheels make them better on hills
I worked on these when I worked for New England Electric on maintenance. They were very simple and sturdy
You need the sulky for it .
Your knowledge and skill level never fail to impress me.
Thanks for saying the spark plug was pulled
There's a little sulkey you can hook to the back and sit and ride.
I would think that back when this tractor was in use daily. No one cared about a little oil lost when changing attachments.
I guess people that rewatch your videos are too ashamed to comment. LOL Had one of these and 2 Troy Bilts like it. The thieves probably scrapped them because they weighed so much. I hope they hurt themselves loading them.
How are graverly compare to troy built and craftsman till also David Bradley
Those shimms are hight adjustments
run a bead of weld, inside the race, fall rite out
Company started production in Dunbar West Virginia. These walk behinds stop production I believe in the 1990's.Most powerful, diverse walk behind tractor ever built.
My grandpa had every attachment for that , including a chainsaw that I never saw him use. He had a wooden cart for it and would ride me all over as a small child on his 10 acres… Good times
Awesome machine I have the same model handed down from my grandpa
Sharpen that blade and look out. Gravely was top of the line. Awesome work as usual Mustie. Thanks a million.
Dad had 2 convertible pull starts.. i chopped 2" saplings with ease.. the attachments are amazing especially the angled rotary plow.
The organical DR TRIMMER
Well, much easier tools to use today to get the same results. Throw that thing in the dump.
Very nice good job 😅😅
I own 3 of these. Why didn’t you download a manual on that machine instead of guessing at everything? Painful to watch.
You should have put shims under the small gear to set the backlash. Great job.
My dad had a 1948 gravely that I used as a kid and I bought one in 77 and restored it and used it for years before getting rid of it. Then got and, a 4 wheel model and still have it but needs restoration now. The one my dad had had a big saw blade and cut down small Cyprus knees to make lamps to sell to the tourist and small trees in the swamps to make lawn furniture in the early 1950's.
