  1. There are quite a few married Catholic priests in Britain, they left the Church of England when they started ordaining women.

  2. press team: so we booked you for the late show with stephen colbert to promote this miniseries…

andrew scott: yeah so, anyway, the thing about Hamlet-

  3. F******************************ck he's hot. 🌋🌡🔥 And, it's unwise to assume we didn't think he was hot as Moriarty. 😍😉😍 Unwise.

  4. forget Ricky Gervais
these two need to have a 30min discussion about Catholicism.
Andrew's been very vocal about how hurt he was by the Church growing up as a gay young man.
I think Stephen would love to talk him more about religion.

  5. It doesn't need to be dumbed down or shortened. it just needs to be translated. For example, in Romeo and Juliet, change "Romeo, Romeo, Wherefore art thou Romeo" to "Romeo, Romeo, Why art thou Romeo" or "Why are you Romeo"

  6. Why does he have a potato stuffed in his pants and he sits with his legs apart the entire interview to advertise his potato dick?

  7. you know… nobody in shakespeares time spoke the way shakespeare wrote. its not like his audiences were all english literature majors who could kinda keep up.
the actors have to just really understand the plays. if the actors read the lines like theyre saying words instead of like theyre acting in a royal shakespearean touring company… its not that hard to follow. shakespeare is more intimate than actors understand, and they end up beating it to death.
actors need to view his plays as tv scripts and not plays. and theyll get it. break the stupid metered verse back into normal sentences and just read it like its not weird. and youll get it.

  8. Andrew Scott in short 5 and a half minutes said ten times more interesting and intelligent things than Will Smith in his whopping 15 minutes.
