  1. Ric Ocasek… Didn't know ya but looks like you were dear to many. Rest in peace.
Fun fact that surname is czech, ocásek means little tail. His spouse's name as well Pavlína Pořízková, also czech…
I guess that's why you can sometimes see his surname written as "Otsacek" because it's a phonetic rewrite of how we czechs read it. C in czech is read as [Ts] in english and S in "sek" is read as […cek] in english, so not [ou-kay-sik] but [o-tsah-sek]

  2. Sorry to see him go.Cars are one of my favorite bands.I saw them live in Ottawa in the 80's.Bad week for classic rock with Eddie Money dying as well. All the greats are leaving this world to perform in heaven.

  3. Well they're both gone , Ben Orr a decade ago Rip Rick we loved you dearly and fyi Stephen I grew up with The Cars to , so many moments of my teen yrs were shaped by them 😍

  4. I very much enjoyed Ric Ocasek, the Cars, and this moment by Colbert. He's so much more entertaining when he's not disrespecting our President!

  5. I loved The Cars, but Stephen went into and graduated from High School with their music. Losing the soundtrack to your life sucks. We don't know them, but they are a part of our lives.

  6. Boston lost another one of its greats. I'm a proud Bostonian and this one is bummin me much like Leonard Nimoy's passing. 😥 Much thanks to Stephen Colbert for acknowledging Ric Ocasek. 👏👏👏

  7. GOD is having an 80s flashback party in Heaven this week. Shake it Up and Let The Good Times Roll. Two Tickets to Paradise for Ric Ocasek, and Eddie Money.
