  1. Those pop outs on the side panels are for different style rear blinkers. I have one similar to this with a Honda GY6 clone 150cc. she scoots

  2. im not gonna lie, driving that around would bring the worst out in me going on side walks down bike trails i would get in trouble with that scooter lol looks like so much fun lololol nice restoration work on that one!

  3. I remember when you first showed those fuel line plier years ago. I went straight out to HF and got a set of 3. One of the best tool buys I've ever made. Everyone who sees them wants to know where they can get some. Thanks!

  4. Finaly i see something i can write some input on 😀 A minarelli horizontal engine, i had a copy of it on my chineese scooter when i was a teen. Had done a lot of work on it. When i saw u struggling with the bike bogging down on open throttle i was practiaclly screaming that it wont go without the airbox ahahah. The engine is easily and pretty heavily modifiable, the stock carb is a bit cranky tho, hates any change in fuel/air. Even just changing the stock airbox foam to a "High flow performance" foam – it wouldnt run good, until you jet it up higher. Also has some issues with cooling since its aircooled. Hotter summers with a slower riding pace – same issue, boggs down at throttle. Easiest way to get to the carb is by removing the seat thats held with 4 bolts from the insinde i think. Since i live in an apartment and have no garage i fully rebuilt the engine, seperated the case n all on my 6th floor apartment – had fun taking it up the elevator and sleeping with the engine almost in my arms 😀

  5. Heh heh, what a find!😄 I think your vacuum fuel tap is stuck open, so you may want to pull that side cover back off and go through it. It shouldn't flow fuel if the engine isn't running, That said, it does run really well now. They use really lean jetting to squeeze like 90 mpg. out of those things, just running around city streets. Unless that battery is only a few years old, I can't believe it actually had almost a full charge when you tested it! It's a gel cell, so anything is possible I guess. It's really snappy off the line thanks to the torque converter belt drive, but the tiny inlet on the air cleaner kind of limits the top speed. I'd love to have one here to run the 7 miles or so into town, when the weather is nice.😉👍👍👍

  6. I see so many awesome mechanics filling their garages up with exhaust fumes. Bro. A simple flexible dryer vent tube works wonders. Carbon monoxide is an accumulative killer too. Other than that, can I live in your garage ?

  7. That's the dumbest design I have ever seen for an air-cleaner. Why would you put the air intake for the engine on the lowest point on a motorcycle? Not only are you going to suck up every bit of dust and debris that the front tire kicks up but water from every puddle or road spray is going right into the engine.

  8. Nice save on a sweet old 2T scooter! Those depressions on the side panels you mentioned are for turn signals non-US bikes. US bikes require turn signals further apart than the rest of the world. Thus the goofy stems sticking out the sides.

  9. Generally the oil for the transmission is checked at a level hole like in car transmissions, down near the bottom rear of the CVT assembly. You uncovered the outside of the CVT body it might be on the inside edge of the little gear reduction case, usually a 10 mm head bolt with a copper gasket. Also there's some sort of bad sounding rattle when it's idling. like the exhaust isn't fully tightened down. These engine shouldn't be making a rattle when the idle.

  10. As a scooter mechanic the engine looks like something Adly cloned in Taiwan. Adlys were decent bikes, actually faster than some of the Genuine and Taiwan Golden Bee brand bikes.

  11. Engineers should produce products that allow people with big fat fingers to get into those tight spaces not someone what those little kid hands. Lol
