Not all the blame can go to YouTube it's also goes to some customers with sheep thinking that accept toxic business practices cause it takes less effort to go with it than fight back.
Where is the helicopter parenting it needs to be here. Contact your ISP and tell them to block, restrict, limit certain content that they don't want kids to see.
But parents gotta take the easy way out and ask a corporation, government or company to block content for their kids.
I get more parents are working more than 1 or 2 jobs a day but for goodness sakes spend 15 min with your child and block the content, take the devices away or put locks/passcodes that you have access to and the kids don't.
We need universal healthcare, we don't every website or corporation requiring ID verification.
Since youtube is claiming to have verified your age, it should also be liable in case a child is misverified and ofered inapropriate content right?! It should work both ways.
YT need to stop inappropriate uploads from users. Not the viewer. Its up to them (YT) and views to take down inappropriate materials.
First, just use Invidious. Also, it's amazing that YouTube can figure out how to determine your age, but they can't figure out how to stop trying to give you every short ever made when you've never watched any of them and you've sent in multiple tickets to tell them to stop trying to spam your feed with a bunch of crap.
