  1. New subscriber here and just watched all vids on 59 restoration. In one of the last few vids I noticed in the background what appeared to be a tool box covering the winch, was the fabrication of the winch storage ever covered? if so, in which vid, I missed it somehow.

  2. like your style mustie! great mechanic with creativity! please use cuppergrease while mounting and vacuumcleaner while cleaning, it make sense for the next time and keeps the air clean. Greeting & success!

  3. a long time ago I used to do a lot of work on this old vw s I think it's wonderful that old bus giving a new life the way you do it.keep up the good work and please make more videos like that 🙂

  4. Great series. I binged watched the whole thing. Had and sold a 57 SC. Too many freeways in Southern California and everyone wants to go 80 miles an hour! Thanks for sharing this.

  5. Looking forward to more videos on this project. It has definitely reignited a dream to restore an old VW for myself.
    Thanks =)

  6. i watched the entire series of this build.  i think it is great.  i did the same thing on a 67 single cab 3 yrs ago on a much smaller scale.   very informative.   love the truck!   enjoy the miles and smiles

  7. Fantastic! Thank you for a great tube. Your project has inspired me to start looking around for another bus of my own after going 20 years without. Also, the wax ring patina preservation system is very cool!

  8. Excellent job and I really enjoy your stuff. I was never much of a VW fan but got to admit that you've inspired me and got me to check out all of the other VW bus resto's on youtube. Dunno if it's been said before, but have you thought about using a GoPro?  that would give you both hands free all the time.

  9. What is that thing on your bumper next to your bumper sticker, it looks like something we put out for ants. haha. don't know much about vw.

  10. I agree, the VW chirp makes it much more authentic. That set up is similar to the European VW I had with a 1303 engine; the Beetle I owned had the muffler with a single outlet like the bus but it came out of the muffler more toward the center. Wish I still had that car!
