mustie1, always wondered how a VW bus transmission shift linkage worked, thanks for the education.
How do those gear reduction hubs work? It's always baffled me how the wheels don't turn backwards with just two gears! Or is there three???
That transmission outside was so ugly it's a two-bagger..one for it and one for you.
Well, whatever the trouble I have no doubt you'll beat it into submission!
It's a forkin mystery
Mainshaft bearing is bad!
Sounds like a detent (ball) probbie . . . . shift arm is so close to the other, if it was bad so was the other. You'll find it D. ;) More nasty weather headed your way, we have it here . . .Rog
Looking at the thickness of that shifter i would be supprised if it had bent, they didnt use weedy material did they ha ha :-))
May as well make it right while the trans is out.
Sounded like a lot stronger click on selection on the trans from Darrin
can you remove trans without removing engine?
That was interesting!
