28 thoughts on “5 things ANDROID users must know about WWDC 2024!

  1. The Apple apps with the black background look so bad, in my opinion. You can only customize the icon color, on android the colors blend depending on your background which feels more fluid than Apple's approach.

  2. The fact Apple will allow Siri to be renamed is something I have been waiting for forever on android / google home. God, let there be light!

  3. I guess iOS users still can't set different volumes for ringtones, notifications, alarm and media, like we can in Android.
That's a huge dealbreaker for me.

  4. Moving the icons around still isnt comparable to the customization of android, nova launcher and good lock alone, destroys apples little icon placement.

  5. But… can Apple Intelligence Actually Protect Your Privacy? It will read your emails, notes, text – I don't want that abd so doe smillions others also.Your review of WWDC is all I need to watch for WWDC. Thanks for the review.

  6. Something Android users also have to fear, Apple is moving support for AVX2 to Metal on all their platforms. Apparently developers are going crazy, it works!

  7. iOS18 had some good ideas but overall lackluster (as usual). Imagine being excited about a calculator app on a product it’s been illogically missing from for years. Yeah it’s cool what they’ve done with it, but when the hype dies down…

  8. Woah. I always thought it was
read (red) receipts. As in you have read it. You’re the second person to say read (reed) receipts. Makes me the odd man out.

  9. I don't want to know when Apple is seeing me type. I like not knowing when my brother reads his messages from me. By the way, satellite texting—I'm mad Apple got that first.

  10. Google really dropped the ball when it comes to AI. Google assistant was heads and shoulders above all others and rather improve upon it constantly, they got comfortable with where it was

  11. If someone were to ask me why I like Android more than Apple, I would tell them, "Still a lot of Android Devices have external memory card slots on them and Android has more external memory support in it so that the user can do more on their device without eating up all of its' memory." Watch Apple go to silence after that.

  12. I am not impressed with Apple's iOS 18 update, which seems to be based on Android features. Apple just added a new spin to things, and everyone is falling for it. Android has already implemented these features, and Apple is just now catching up. It seems that Apple is using marketing tactics to make people think that their new update is revolutionary, but it is not. The Apple ecosystem and their software are still behind Android, and they are just trying to catch up. Even Android users are falling for Apple's marketing, which is disappointing. I have been using Android for years and I am not going to switch to iOS because of this update.

  13. I think we’re giving Apple a little too much credit, as it’s just riding the coattails of other companies at the moment.

  14. 🤔 IPhone is look more and more like Android but customization is way better on Android 💯
