Blue is BACK—and this time we took the 5,000+ HP twin-turbo ProMod Camaro all the way to Bradenton Motorsports Park for the first stop of the Drag Illustrated Winter Series: the 54th Annual Snowbird Outlaw Nationals.
This event brought 80+ of the baddest ProMods in the country, all chasing the $50,000 payout… and we came out swinging.
But the weekend did not start smoothly.
During the very first day of testing, Blue suffered catastrophic engine damage. We’re talking full disaster mode. We had to tear the engine down and rebuild half of it between 2nd and 3rd round of testing — thrash mode in full effect.
Somehow, some way… the team pulled it together.
We qualified 12th out of over 80 ProMods, survived first round of eliminations, and pushed deep into the show before falling short in the second round.
