Don't forget to hang up the caliper
How could you introduce air when pressure is being sent into the master??? Have never had that issue with the BG brake flush machine.
Great video ray
What time, work and money is saved compared to doing a brake fluid drain and fill any other way?
Aren't you gonna put the rotor lock screw in?
I have to agree with Louey2x, I do plenty of brake jobs, but will sit and watch Ray do them. I think it's the entertainment factor. Thanks for making it fun Ray! ðŸ‘ðŸ‘
I was online looking for the caliper spreading tool you where using in this video. I found a ton on amazon but most have a few bad reviews about quality and breaking on first use . I need one that will work on SUVs and compact cars. I buying it for a buddy that loves to do brakes for me and everyone he knows. I am trying to find a quality tool he can use for years to come. Any suggestions?
This ain’t no traffic. It’s empty roads. Traffic when you go 10-15 mph or less for 40-50 mins. I drive daily just under 12-14 miles in 45-60 mins.
I love these videos, good work dude. The flux capacitor are in the brakes and thats why it vibrated that bad.
If my calculations are correct, when this baby hits 88 miles per hour you're gonna see some serious shit.
great video thanks Ray for sharing your videos they are very educational……
I noticed that on your test run you came right up behind a white Cadillac CTS V wagon and not a peep out of your ramblings ""CAN I GET A PEEP?"
Greetings from Zimbabwe Ray, please could you tell me why when you find rusty fasteners and bolts you more often than not do not put any lubricants on the offending pieces?
Please keep making these videos.
Just had this done to my car for the first time since owning it (didn't pass safety inspection and thank God someone told me! That would have been bad) and was curious about how it's done. Granted I have a sedan, but I get the picture! Thank you for showing this!!!!! My dad explained it to me like how you replaced the brakes in the video, but I'm glad I got to see it through you!
I changed the cab blower motor today on my semi, found myself saying "unclick" and "click" a bit too much.
Raymondo,Raymondo,Raymondo … I have become disillusioned, Raymondo! You are acting like a Teenager with their first car!
I would like to see a Dyno Test showing the difference in performance after the fitting of the 4" exhaust & the dangerously flimsy plastic unnecessarily complicated Air Intake System, AND because of the Heavy Duty Front bumper, you had to 'Modify' the manufactures specifications. Your worse than a Teenager because you can buy all the Windscreen Pillar Pretty Flashing lights,
and now the 'Coup De Gras', the very expensive Differential Cover, so you'll have more Pretty Lights on the Windshield Display!!
Grow up Raymondo, and buy your long suffering wife a New Car!!
The top of your tool box needs some serious blue towel action 😂
A friend of mine has a 2500 siera diesel, which had the same issue. Turned out to be a dry & rusty cross in the drive shaft.
I like the way you 'Viking' your brake cleaner cans lol
Rust prevention is not possible in Florida.
Thumbnail is not an F150.
Oh no you didn't!!! I have watched hundreds of your videos and this is the first time I remember you mentioning it…I catch myself doing it all the time but when you said it about your BG guy I blew Bud Light out of my nose. 😂😂 😂 You know what I'm talking about! Quick question why do you not use Pig Squeal or similar products on the back of brake pads?
I was shopping for brake pads, and I decided to buy the cheapest set. I think they got teflon in them!.
I notice that you don’t use fender protectors, even on shiny vehicles.
Wouldn’t that be a good Idea?
Asking for a friend.😊
What are your thoughts on turning rotors Ray?
Interesting how the vibration is happening at 88 miles per hour. Is there any connection to reference in the "Back To The Future" movies?
No brake rotor resurfacing machine? Lots of meat left on them rotors. A quick skim of a few thou would've fixed 'em for much less $. Just new pads.
No gingel for the breakkleaner?
$5 a month?!. No more likes from me.
60+ years ago when I first started working on cars our shop had a bowling ball sized steel vessel with a hose coming out the bottom and a filler cap on the top. You uncapped the top and poured in a quart of brake fluid After sucking all of the old fluid from the master cylinder, one end of the hose was then fastened to the master brake reservoir with an airtight seal. The vessel was then pressurized to about 10-15 pounds, you used the same procedure you used here to bleed each wheel catching the old fluid in an open container using a clear vinyl tubing until the old fluid went clear. A lot less fluid wasted and it took about half the time for the same result, and the apparatus cost less than 50 bucks. The new way is neat, but our "old" was was more efficient and a lot cheaper.
I like the old brake clean sound! Bring it back.
Please do these brake fluid exchanges properly. Every time I watch you do one, you don't do the job correctly and completely. You MUST actuate the valves in the ABS module to flush and replace nasty brake fluid trapped in the valve bodies. I know it takes more time but wouldn't you rather do the job right?
