  1. Check to see if the proper area is cut out of oil pump casing… could be hydro locking. I have a ep3. Located in pa. I had to do a complete tare down and cleaning bec of sloppy seal jobs.

  2. That motor sounds tired, while the pan was off I would have checked the main cap bearings and rod bearings.
    As that will cause bad oil pressure too.
    But you can hear it in the videos, it sounds bad. And yes I know piston slap (Billet/forged pistons) will sound the same at cold temps but not hot.
    First thing I would have checked.

  3. acura rsx type s that come with the k20a2 normally swap the oil pump for a k20a3 (base model rsx) oil pump. I guess its based on the k20a3 type s pump but is more refined, I use the same with my rsx

  5. I’m thinking possibly a bad thrust bearing it’s the main oil pressure dropping not the vtec so I wouldn’t think the screens or the solenoid for VTEC is bad or clogged it’s a base oil pressure problem

  6. blipping the throttle could be caused by oil cavitation and that's why you don't see oil pressure drop when your holding rpm which would take me to the oil pump gears, maybe there skiwampus

  8. "another K series is like 400 bucks" and that right there is the future of most engine swaps will be K series. SRs, RBs, JZ, 3Ss, 13Bs all are getting more and more expensive and hard to find
