  1. I really like your videos and have always been in awe of your lift.
I have tried to find one, but I am not sure what it is called.
When I search only motorcycle lifts come up, but yours is so much wider.
    Cheers

  2. Sunshine is on the other side of all life's storm clouds. Hoping that sunshine gets back to you soon. Hang in there whatever is going on. Your videos regularly teach this old dog new tricks and are most appreciated. Thank you.

  3. I have an early 1950s, Reo Royal reel mower that Was my fathers. Im trying to find the time to get it running as it needs a bit of TLC. Reel mowers do a nice job if you have a good lawn, but you can’t let it grow too long as it won’t clip tall grass or weeds very well.

  4. It is a real mower made for cutting bent grass on the greens at a golf course. You can tell by the blades. There are more blades than a standard reel mower and it’s a front feed.

  5. I was the motor for one of these mowers when I was a pup. But mine thru the glass clippings out the back !! Had grass stains on my bare feet. Good times. Hang in there, Gods got your back.

  6. Hi Darren, when setting up those cutter reels to the soleplate, when reground, they should cut a piece of printer paper cleanly anywhere along the reel. The older cast iron framed ones were much more rigid and could be set really closely. Try for just touching, then back off slightly to clear.

  7. Darren, I've been a long time viewer and I enjoy your videos very much. Regarding this one, has anyone in the comments below suggested that this mower was primarily used to maintain putting greens. I'm not 100% sure that it was only made for that purpose, but I know that it is especially suited for cutting very short grass to a uniform length. The ground also has to be fairly flat without lots of bumps and divots.
