this 1958 vw bug that was towed from california to newHampshire 35 years ago, at the time they were trying to get it switched over from 6 volt to 12 volt but never got it to work, after leaving it in the woods for 35 years we came along and dragged it out. now lets see what the weather, critters and time has left for us to work with.

  1. You almost have enough licence plates to rebuild the floor pans lol ty for letting me share a joke with you Matt AKA DDP be safe out there My friend and brother and everybody yuuuuup

  2. After lots of Youtube Videos, this is the closest I could find to mine, minus the rusting floor pans. Mine is also full of Mouse excrement and seeing you clean yours gives me more hope to work on mine. From what I saw you just pressure washed the inside?

  3. Ever seen one with turn signal arms just behind the doors? I had one and re-hooked them up to a one switch so they came up at the same time, made people look funny!

  4. How is it possible that this car does not got more rust than it does? Maybe it got to do with that car never got exposed to salty roads.

  5. I’m still catching up on some of the old mustie1 videos I’m surprise 5150 didn’t sniff this one out lol. This would be right up his alley. Thank you mustie, It’s always a great time watching you do what you do.

  6. Great to see ! Im up in Scandinavia so its a cold climate in winter months but when summer arrives the Summer Bugs arrive from their winter storage ! ….. My brother actually imported a T2 from California to the UK, he revamped it all the way through and he now has it in France for the summer months. He was offered 30,000 euros but said "No way" ….

  7. “It actually does not look terrible😳😳😳😳🤔🤔🤔🤔”. I’m sorry, but it looks horrible under the wheel well!! Your definition of “not terrible” & MY definition DEFINITELY differ greatly!! I believe you might want to get a second opinion on that. I love your guys’ awesome & wonderful channel, & your rebuilds are exceptional & exciting to watch!! Please keep up the great work

  8. God, leaving that thing sit and rot in the woods like they did is a crime. Think what kind of shape it'd be in if they had at least parked it on the driveway.

  9. I think we LS454 Swap it and put some tires on it and take it straight to the Drag strip like it is ….Gots to still be safer than some of my Parents cars that we rode in back in the 60's 70's and 80's in Northeast Ohio
